A playful imagining of an intervention for our troubled times, Hubby's White House Gathering and companion piece, White House Gardening are part of a new body of work that ideates humor-filled visualization to instigate change.
Hubby on the White House lawn series:
This duo plays with the flexing of our visualization muscles to focus on a future or scenario we’d like to see, replacing what appears now that we don’t prefer. Mother Teresa states that she would never go to an anti-war rally, but she would attend a pro-peace rally. It is with this mindset that I populate White House Gathering with heroes, spiritual leaders, deities and fictional characters that inspire and do good in the world. I then do a bit of White House gardening; it springs to life with all matter of healing plants, including those that have powerful effects on psychological ailments, such as magic mushrooms, peyote, ayahuasca vines, sage, kava plants, etc. It also flourishes with trees and flowers that aid memory, mood and overall health. I threw in a few surprises as well. The keys to these works hold the layers of intention with a little humor to help the medicine go down.
